With its changing phases and transitions, the moon marks the rhythm of the many agricultural rituals that characterize daily life in the Colombian countryside. Farmers align their various chores with the different lunar phases, knowing when to transplant, fertilize and prune their coffee trees using the moon as their guide.
This priceless knowledge is part of an oral tradition which is passed down, tweaked, and shared from generation to generation, within coffee-growing families and communities. Although this ancestral knowledge is seldom used or remembered in the bigger cities, it is still a crucial part of the magic behind each cup of coffee.
Resplandor Lunar returns for its second edition welcoming again our series of coffees inspired by the illuminating conjunction between the universe and agriculture. With this release we showcase an ensemble of coffees from the departments of Huila and Nariño, which were carefully selected by our lab’s team of expert roasters and cuppers, who challenged themselves to roast each origin separately to preserve and highlight the respective flavor profiles of each region. Once the lots were roasted, the lab worked to perfect the formula which makes each bag of Resplandor Lunar shine in cup and quality.
We invite you to welcome this new series of coffees inspired by the moon with Resplandor Lunar, a cup profile that shines with notes of candied orange, dark chocolate, and blackberry juice.
